SSD recovery FAQ

Good to know

Is SSD recovery harder than hard drive recovery?
It can be. SSDs use complex controllers and features like TRIM that can erase data quickly, so acting fast and stopping use is critical.
My NVMe drive disappeared — is data gone?
Not necessarily, but an undetected drive does not tell us whether the files can be recovered. Stop using it and bring it in so we can assess the device and symptoms.
Does TRIM make recovery impossible?
TRIM and subsequent internal cleanup can make deleted SSD data unrecoverable. Controller faults, encryption and the drive design also affect recovery. Stop using the drive and ask for an assessment.
Is the evaluation really free?
Yes. We assess the device and explain the options, limitations and quote — you decide before paid work.

Before you book

Planning your ssd & nvme data recovery request

What to prepare

Stop writing to the SSD and avoid reinstalling the operating system. Tell us the device model, symptoms and whether encryption or a recovery key is involved.

What to expect

TRIM, encryption and controller faults can limit recoverability. Device condition and available keys determine whether a recovery approach is feasible.

Visit 20 Corporate Park, Ste 118, Irvine, CA 92606. Device walk-ins are welcome from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. On-site visits and remote sessions are arranged by appointment.
